Steve is a passionate technology leader and entrepreneur who believes in sharing the positive transformative power of digital technologies. Through his two companies, Steve has hired, trained and managed more than 150 employees. Early on, Steve recognized that he had a gift for identifying unskilled, yet talented people who wanted to do something more with their lives. Over time, he came up with a system for providing these individuals with the training and support necessary to excel in their newly chosen professions. Steve continues this work by helping like-minded nonprofits achieve their educational objectives. As Exnihilo’s CEO, Steve has spent more than 25 years overseeing the design and implementation of numerous solutions for companies such as Analog Devices, Citizens Bank, Dell Computer, GE Healthcare, IGT, Major League Baseball, Schneider Electric and Textron. As MakeCent’s CTO, Steve has overseen every aspect of the company’s award-winning, blockchain-based payments solution.Previously, Steve was the Director of Development for Freelance Access, a new media agency responsible for creating some of the earliest successful digital properties. Earlier in his career, Steve served as Director of Development for the Boston Computer Society, where he participated in the creation of several first-ever achievements, including the creation of Software Tool and Die, the first public access point to the Internet and the creation of www.bcs.org, one of the first US-based websites.Steve teaches at Emerson College, where he is an adjunct faculty member. He also guest lectures at the Rhode Island School of Design and Bryant University. Steve holds a degrees in photography and design from Franklin Institute and MFA .
