I am a proactive and ambitious leader with experience delivering complex engineering projects and commercial strategies across various global locations, including South Africa, Chile, the Middle East, the UK, and Ireland. I have worked with a diverse range of clients, including private developers, government organisations, consultants, and contractors. I hold a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town and an Executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Trinity College Dublin. Currently, as Technical Director at Ayesa (formerly ByrneLooby), I manage and drive business performance for the Marine and Coastal Division in Ireland and the UK. My focus areas include inland waterways, ports and harbours, leisure facilities, and offshore marine projects. I am responsible for the business unit's P&L, strategy development and implementation, recruitment and resourcing, project and stakeholder management, planning and approvals, technical oversight, and project delivery. Additionally, I serve as PSDP and Employers Representative at each stage of delivering public and private works contracts.Prior to relocating to Ireland, I was the Country Manager for ByrneLooby in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, where I successfully led the delivery of large-scale public and private projects. My responsibilities included stakeholder engagement, commercial strategy development, contract administration, and engineering design. I also oversaw business development and client liaison, contributing to the growth of the company's presence in the region.
