I am continuing my work at Ultimate Software through the merger with Kronos. Subject matter expert for MongoDB. Working as an internal consultant to dev teams as they design and optimize their services in a Cloud based, event processing paradigm. I often get deep into the code with the developers to optimize the data access algorithms, the schema, index design, cluster configuration, application server configuration, and the like. I work with the internal Cloud organization to optimize the instrumentation that enables easy deployment of applications using databases, like MongoDB, in our K8 environment. I work across the organization prepare the development teams for upgrades of MongoDB, with networking to setup appropriate networking, with security to enhance our security posture, with architects to contribute to design and new internal standards, and the like. The majority of this work was in our efforts to break-down the monolith into a microservices.
