Responsible for the development and integration of 3D solid model derived image captures of the E-2D AHE, FMS & SE used in the Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM’s) delivered to Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).Initially utilized Dassault Systemes (DS) CATIA & ENOVIA to capture & IsoDraw (PTC) to edit 3D vecterized image data; conforming to S1000D standardized, hyper-linked technical graphics for fleet personnel performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.Currently performing 3D model manipulations & captures in Teamcenter w/NX.Provide practical advice and expert solutions based on experience; often coordinating with lead assembly plant supervisors and technicians on features unique to the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye and related SE.

Primary responsibilities include layout & design of electrical systems used in the service of vacuum & excavating material from sensitive areas where underground utilities are present. Utilized Autodesk Inventor to design and/or modify assemblies & components for on-site JIT (Just in Time) manufacturing. Verified truck accessory drive (PTO) distances & specifications for best driveshaft setup & selection.

Develop 3D graphic images of solid modeled E-2D AHE, FMS & Support Equipment (SE) inserted into XML based IETM's delivered to the US Navy.

Responsible for the development and design of LHA-6 America class weapons, electrical power, electronic data equipment, and ventilation steel foundations installed at Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc., Pascagoula, MS.Ensured proper layout of components critical in the construction and fabrication of steel mechanical fixtures used to mount various types of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) aboard LHA(R) type amphibious assault ship under construction.CAD drafted removal and installation layout drawings based on compartment sketches & photographs for a total of three (3) nuclear aircraft carriers scheduled for overhaul.Maintained precise hand drawn shipboard structural & fabrication detail drawings; following strict ink & lettering standards for H size, plastic (Mylar) films.

Provided Solid Works 3D CAD solutions in the timely improvement of emergency warning light equipment design & documentation to include; aluminum extrusions, injection mold prototype castings, steel mounting brackets, and LED printed circuit board control assemblies for manufacturing and delivery, under contract to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Worked closely with Physical Separations Division Head Engineer to perform expedient re-design of the company’s 3-stage, High-Tension Mineral Processor, vastly improving its versatility to function under extreme conditions, on time and under budget.Utilized Solid Works in the layout and design of critical machine components and assemblies in model space.Instrumental in the creation of engineering changes that lead to the overall improvement and functionality of the equipment. Coordinated finalized manufacturing drawings with local machine shops selected to build and deliver components for assembly at Outotec.

Developed and produced NAVAIR Maintenance Instructions Manuals (MIM’s) along with U.S. Air Force Technical Orders (TO’s).Verified and validated equipment maintenance procedures in conjunction with creating and editing graphic illustrations utilizing different techniques to extract vector and raster information from source data. Provided quality engineering services as a Mechanical Designer of Aeronautical Support Equipment to Department of Defense under contract.Contributed collateral effort performing quality control inspections & reporting resulting in reduction of product deficiencies in the manufacturing of Optical Test Program Set components delivered to NADEP Jacksonville, FL.Developed Solid Edge software training strategies to improve CAD operator efficiency in the workplace two years in a row.
