Managed the end to end order to cash cycle for the US freight management division from rating and billing to cash application and financial reporting. Also led the accounts receivable and collections initiatives for the entire Americas region. Analyzed the root causes of specific collection problems and coordinated needed process improvements to optimize collection performance.

Appointed worldwide head of internal audit for CEVA Logistics (€6 billion annual revenue) after its acquisition of Eagle Global Logistics. Prepared and executed a risk-based audit plan. Reported functionally to the Audit Committee and administratively to the group CFO. Chaired the Committee on Corporate Conduct. Conducted fraud investigations as needed.

Re-established the company’s worldwide internal audit department that provided independent, objective assurance and consulting activities designed to add value and improve the company’s operations ($3 billion annual revenue). Conducted the internal management testing for SOX 404 and performed other audits using a risk-based approach.

Led, as worldwide financial subject matter expert, the international deployment of the company's new integrated freight management/financial system. Prepared and tested the business rules for the financial interface between the two systems. Coordinated the gap analysis and approved the scope of customizations to be included in the initial build of the financial system (Oracle Financials). Wrote guidelines for the capitalization of costs of internally developed software and ensured that calculations were prepared and recorded accurately.

Headed the accounting and financial reporting for the EMEIA region (Europe / Middle East / Africa / West Asia) which consisted of 22 countries with 1,800 employees and annual revenues of $250 million. Responsible for the region's overall financial performance as well as accounting/reporting (local statutory and US GAAP) and tax. Reported jointly to the region's EVP and company CFO.
