BACKGROUNDAt 18 I joined the police but my career came to an abrupt end when I lost my right hand following a bomb attack at Catford police station. I worked as an Insurance Loss adjuster for the next seven years. I had a keen interest in Japanese Koi Carp and decided to turn my hobby into a business and for the next 20 years I ran a well-respected Koi retail outlet, visiting Japan twice a year to select specimen varieties and import them into the UK for sale. In 2002 I constructed a garden at the Chelsea Flower Show and was awarded a bronze medal and wrote a book entitled 'The Encyclopaedia of Koi'WHAT I DO NOWFive years ago I retrained as an Independent Inventory clerk and in 2012 set up my own inventory Company and now have 5 clerks who cover the whole of London, Kent and Surrey we are also all members of the AIICWHO I WORK WITHEstate AgentsLetting Agents and ManagersPrivate Landlords and TenantsBuy to Let investorsPERSONAL NOTEI am really passionate about the Inventory reports I produce, we have a duty of care to protect the Landlords property and the tenants deposit.
