Primarily responsible for defining and implementing the business and operational elements required to take Nortis' technology from a crude prototype device to a full-fledged commercial product. During my tenure, Nortis successfully launched its first commercial device on 09/01/2015. I was employee number 7 and was an integral part in growing the company to over 30 employees. I expanded the Operations Team from 1 to 20 employees which included product design and development engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, production personnel, and G&A staff. In addition to directly managing the entire operation, I was actively involved in business strategy development and fund raising activities. Additional responsibilities included the development, implementation, and management of Nortis' business goals and objectives, financial models and operational budgets, development and implementation of Nortis' quality management processes, product development processes, manufacturing processes, project management processes, and product support processes.

Set up and managed the Sustaining Engineering department to support changes and improvements to product in the field. Managed a team of design and process engineers and was responsible for product and process design and development to support quality improvements of commercially released products. Included test protocol development and execution, process validation, and design verification activities.

Kirkland, Wa

Lead several design improvement and cost reduction projects for Manufacturing and Sustaining Engineering departments. PM responsibilities included scope development, project plans, communication plans, change management plans, work breakdown structure, scheduling, and development of monitoring and tracking tools.

Process development and validation responsibilites to support commercial launch of FDA-cleared atherectomy device. Other activities included: test protocol development, execution, and analysis; tool design and qualification; IQ/OQ/PQ; PFMEAs; and process capability assessments.

Oak Harbor, Wa

Managed the Engineering department in support of the product development activities at Upchurch Medical, a division of Upchurch Scientific. Core competencies of Upchurch Medical revolved around on injection molding, extruding, and machining of high peformance thermoplastics, such as PEEK.

Kirkland, Wa

Owned and operated an engineering design and consulting firm. Clients ranged from small aerospace companies to medical device companies. Provided project management and flight testing services for small aircraft modification centers. Also provided services for component stress analysis using both manual and computer-based FEA methods with software such as Cosmos Works and Design Star.

Seattle, Wa

Designed test machines and mechanical devices with closed loop feedback for load and/or motion control to test various aircraft hydraulic and mechanical systems and components. Analyzed hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Performed structural analysis on components and test rigs using both manual methods and Finite Element Modeling and Analysis.
