WHY OUR SHRINK WRAP MATERIALS ARE DIFFERENTRhino are different because we understand the challenges of scaffold shrink wrapping and our Verisafe® industrial shrink wrap is designed from the ‘ground up’ to meet the challenges of shrink wrapping a scaffolding structure. It has been manufactured for the last 15 years and it is our manufacturing process that makes the performance of our shrink wrap different which directly benefits your projects.We started by understanding what the shrink film needed to do and then designing our manufacturing process around that. For example, our extruders utilise a smaller die than most, which produces a much more powerful shrink process.Although it is more difficult and expensive for us, we are the only company in Europe to put our product through a gruelling third party verification scheme for our flame retardant sheeting. Our manufacturing facilities have been producing our product for 15 years and the ISO9001 production process ensures complete consistency from one roll to the next which means our customers have complete peace of mind that they are using a safe product and can rely on us to get the job done.Our most popular size and specification of shrink wrap film for scaffold wrapping and general industrial shrink wrapping is our 7m wide x 15m long, Verisafe, 300 micron, flame retardant roll, but widths to 14 metres are available.There is no minimum order quantity but if you need larger quantities we ship anything from individual pallets/skids to container loads worldwide.SCAFFOLD SHRINK WRAPPING TRAININGMy installation teams also provide in depth shrink wrap training and on site support, working closely with customers who wish to carry out shrink wrapping work 'in-house'. WHY OUR INSTALLATION TEAMS ARE DIFFERENTOur installation teams are a close knit group and a valuable part of our company. Most of our hires are recommended by current staff or join us from other shrink wrap companies. Shrink wrapping scaffolding can be a physically demanding job, with long hours away from home and our teams maintain their professionalism and positive attitude despite the challenges of working on some of the largest construction projects in the world.Our experienced installation teams erect screens, partitions, suspended ceiling covers and tunnels on a diverse range of industrial and construction sites. All hold CSCS cards, IPAF certificates and are harness trained (including the ‘Gotcha’ rescue system). Our supervisors are qualified under the Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme.I try to fully understand customer problems and provide a fast response to all enquiries. I like to meet customers on site to look at their projects as we understand that requirements can be complex and a one size fits all approach does not always work. Tufcoat shrink wrap is a durable industrial shrink wrap sheeting which is heat shrunk to create a continuously bonded skin over the roof and sides of scaffold structures or items for transport and storage without holes or gaps typical of traditional sheeting systems. Tufcoat shrink wrap is recommended for projects where a high level of environmental containment or weather protection is required. By creating a ‘drum tight’ covering, Tufcoat shrink wrap is able to stand up to the most severe weather conditions, eliminating the problem of detached sheets and emergency repair. Should it be necessary to gain access through shrink wrap sheeting, i.e. for craneage, Tufcoat can be cut open and re-sealed to maintain 100% containment. I was asked by Tufcoat to start and run a shrink wrap installations division for the company. I was initially 'on the tools' but as our installation teams expanded I was responsible for managing the teams and working with customers to develop new solutions.An example of our 'solution led' approach - Encapsulating 11 large, prefabricated modules, for the creation of the ‘Evaporator D facility’ at the Sellafield nuclear site in Cumbria.Engineers needed to find a way to protect modules from salt water damage during a 90 mile journey by sea from the manufacturing facility at Ellesmere port to the Sellafield nuclear site on the coast of Cumbria. The modules varied in size from 10m high, 7.5m wide and almost 10m in length to 27m high x12.5 m wide x 7.5 m long.Because of the need for an exceptional level of weather protection, where failure was not an option we worked closely with Interserve engineers to design and install a system of mesh reinforcement between voids in the modules to ease wind load during transportation. Finally, each of the modules, was wrapped in 300µm shrink wrap to provide a complete seal against bad weather.The shrink wrap encapsulation worked perfectly and once on site, it was easy to remove and recycle.

This was a small industrial shrink wrap installation company which I founded and ran for two years before I was asked to start and run the shrink wrap installation division for Tufcoat shrink wrap, (see above).
