I am an experienced leader in the design, delivery and support of effective and efficient solutions for complex organisations. I have deep experience of change management for capital markets and have worked in a consulting, technology and business capacity across industry sectors including retail, pharmaceuticals, software, manufacturing, utilities and gaming.As a technologist, functional head and an independent consultant I have worked with world leading organisations such as Deutsche Bank, Apple Computers, Electronic Arts, British Petroleum. GSK and Cognos.My passion is about being solving business challenges with technology, focused on implementing fast, sustainable solutions enabling organisations that can adapt and respond to changing needs. A key interest for me is to provide leadership and mentoring to engineers, partners and stakeholders. I am a champion of diversity and inclusivity. Delivering effective technology requires engagement and a team culture; leading successful teams is about people skills, completeness of vision and communication. Bringing the business stakeholder closer to the engineer is a proven practice but executing this in a meaningful way takes more than following Agile ceremonies; lasting change needs talented leaders that can manage a conversation that encompasses business and technology complexity whilst maintaining clarity and focus.My career has been significantly enriched through participation and creation of socially rewarding programs and activities. I have had the pleasure of mentoring less advantaged school children, embarking on the transition from school to employment, engaging with gender and cultural inclusivity projects and supporting cancer charities.Outside of work I have become a bit of a running obsessive. As well as maintaining my physical fitness, running gives me time and space to think and is a tremendous mindfulness tool.
