I am a chartered valuation surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer working on the Compulsory Purchase team at Gateley Hamer in Birmingham.I provide valuations and advice in respect of compulsory purchase matters acting for both project promoters as well as landowners and businesses affected by compulsory purchase including the preparation, management and negotiation of compensation claims. I have previously worked in both the private sector and public sector gaining experience valuing residential and commercial properties for a variety of purposes. This has included providing rental and capital valuations of properties to support tax assessments for Business Rates, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax. It has also included providing valuation advice in respect of such taxes. In the private sector I gained experience providing valuations of commercial properties for secured lending purposes.I have also gained previous experience working for the District Valuer Services providing valuations and advice to public sector clients for purposes such as compulsory purchase, rent review and acquisition. In addition I provided rental valuations of surgeries and health centres for a health sector client.
