Previously June 22 full time Instrucotr, Working in partnership with multiple agencies, deliver professional teaching across a range of modules or professional practises complying with all relevant legal and university policies. I deliver an in depth training and development programme to police recruits, tailoring delivery for differing needs, in what is a highly competitive and intensive course. I drive the implementation of modern training, moving from a traditional classroom setting towards practical and experiential learning and development. In addition, I serve as the organisational lead on mental health training and awareness for new recruits; engaged in the research and development of training. I have undertaken a comprehensive review of organisational capacity to triage and manage risk; gathering learning across partner policing services to assess and implement best practice.

I worked in support of international policing head and project managers in the development of regional projects; responsible for the management of a wide range of programmes. These were often culturally and logistically complex, requiring effective liaison with clients, stakeholders and project managers internationally. I resolved issues through language and cultural barriers, ensuring the high professional reputation of the College of Policing was upheld and enhanced. During this time, I managed a complex £1.2m contract that encompassed the delivery of 72 courses internationally. Force Control Room Supervisor - I held responsibility for monitoring high risk incidents across the UK. I collated and presented incident updates to senior leaders; liaising proactively with diverse partners to support operations. I served as the single point of contact for external agencies and internal partners; delivering coherent strategies, increased efficiency and meaningful recording and dissemination of key information.

I ensured priorities were highlighted and appropriate demands responded to. I compiled reports and responses to high level enquiries, often requiring fast and accurate information gathering in order to present findings within highly challenging time frames. I managed the Commissioner’s office and his diverse team of UN, Police and local staff; liaising with a range of departments and services globally. Staff Officer to Police Commissioner - I wrote and delivered presentations and briefings and provided extensive organisational support. Leading a team, I oversaw crime attendance and investigation and control room activity. During this service I served as a law trainer, managing the training and development of new officers.

Like all police officers at this time, I began my service as a constable. I worked my way steadily through a range of roles affording me a strong foundation of enquiry, observation and personal interaction. I undertook a variety of operational roles, including providing immediate response to critical incidents and for the management of a wide range of operational activities. I brought a thoughtful and considered approach to my work, processing information quickly and accurately. This diverse and demanding role required this fast, but considered, approach alongside the ability to understand and manage the longer term effect on the community.
