As a Principal at Overlap Associates, I play a critical role in driving revenue, client success, and business expansion. I develop and execute account-based sales strategies, maintain and grow key client relationships, and lead efforts in new client acquisition. My responsibilities also include providing high-level strategic consulting, overseeing marketing initiatives, and managing operational efficiencies to ensure our team delivers exceptional value and impact. My focus is on fostering long-term client engagement and contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization.

As the AGM, I am responsible for the leadership design operations and client experience. I have a shared responsibility for all operational areas of Overlap Associates Canada – from business development to delivery of work. I support and oversee daily operations, ensuring our team is working efficiently and effectively and supporting our clients in various sectors to achieve their goals with Overlap.A large part of my role is developing our design operations process, ensuring efficient use of our delivery team's time week-to-week, and monitoring reports using a robust set of tools to ensure compliance. I lead key account planning and champion client experience throughout the organization. From the business development process to wrapping a project, I aim to bring the voice and perspective of our clients into all aspects of our work.

In my first role at Overlap, I worked directly with clients to ensure they had an exceptional experience throughout our working relationship, from project kick-off to wrap-up. I ensured projects aligned with the specific needs of the client throughout the project lifecycle and worked with both the Overlap team and client stakeholders to adjust if needed.I also sourced and brought our project management system (Mavenlink) online, and managed our content management system for marketing efforts (Hubspot).

At 5Crowd, I worked with clients across pharmaceutical, healthcare and QSR industries to help them focus on executional strategy to meet their marketing goals. In this role I managed a team focused on the overall account strategy, as well as individual client relationships and projects. Projects ranged from traditional advertising deliverables to complex data analysis workEveryone at 5Crowd takes on ‘extra-curricular’ projects to ensure the smooth operations of the company. Mine involve diving into the data produced by our team to learn more about our operations and find ways we can run more efficiently.

Utilizing a team of talented and diverse developers and designers and leveraging experience in the education sector, I created customized solutions to help solve the unique challenges faced by colleges, universities and other education clients. I provided strategic advice for clients around digital projects ranging from enrolment management to experience journey mapping to information architecture development.

Working with the Marketing and Undergraduate Recruitment Team at the University of Waterloo I focused on recruitment, marketing strategy, and research for graduate and undergraduate programs in the Faculty of Environment. Responsibilities included the development of the Faculty’s overall undergraduate and graduate marketing and recruitment plans (including print, web, new media, relationship building, and event strategies); and development and writing of strategic, student-centred undergraduate and graduate communications, such as print pieces, the Faculty of Environment’ information on www.findoutmore.uwaterloo.ca, graduate program web content, and new media initiatives (e.g., social networking). I work closely with Faculty members, students, and alumni who play a key role in overall recruitment success, aiming to engage them in recruitment strategies.
