It’s a natural inclination for most children to be curious about the way things work. Little ones enjoy taking things apart—often to the dismay of their parents!—and figuring out how to put them back together again. That pretty much describes me, even to this day. As a child, I spent hours building and rebuilding construction sets, creating intricate “worlds” out of blocks, train tracks, and little trees. That passion for creating and building continued as I forged a path in construction. I originally entered the field as a laborer at an underground pipe company, working my way up to operator and then foreman. Over the course of the next few years in my career, I enjoyed positions as a superintendent, estimator, and project manager. I have a unique perspective of the entire process, having worked at all levels within construction. That view led me to create the Bevel-Sert, which protects workers while improving the process.
