Closely working with a psychosocial NDIS participant to promote their craft and literature, explore discussion, participate in the community, manage daily activities and set goals.

Approached by the venue's new owners to increase customer service focus, introduce workflow and processes and build rapport with staff. Also had a target to increase daily takings and restore brand and reputation. Was a successful and enjoyable three-month stint. Would definitely return if required.

Started my own venue from absolute scratch. Undertook the entire renovation, build and installation, brand creation, menu development and staff recruitment before finally opening in June 2016. Henry on Eighth was a true neighbourhood bar and restaurant; licensed for 180 patrons, it initially offered breakfast and lunch service before settling on evenings only from 2019. Among its other highlights: close to 150 nights of live art on the Henry stage, weddings, wine dinners, milestone birthday parties and street festivals. The threat of property redevelopment forced Henry on Eighth to close in February 2024.

Supported six psychosocial NDIS participants (schizophrenia, addiction, autism and brain injury included) in daily leisure activities and peer counselling.

Had a major role in the initial inventory, launch and management of a new store. Was involved in bookkeeping and shift supervision until the store's sale in January 2023.

Was a key member of the front-of-house team, specifically on the restaurant floor where I provided outstanding customer service and memorable dining experiences for thousands of patrons.

Primarily managed the venue's morning operations, which included room service for an adjacent 4.5-star hotel and patrons from the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Accepted a part-time contract to support the new department following major Machinery of Government changes. Focus was on internal communications and raising staff morale.

Worked with senior staff, contractors and suppliers to rebuild, rewrite and launch the organisation's new website. A massively successful project.

Led internal communication for over 2000 staff members through preparation of messages from senior management, and coordination of intranet content and weekly e-newsletters. This coincided with a period of major organisational change that included restructures, staff redundancies and office closures. Also contributed to the maintenance and management of the department website through various content projects. and developed social media policy, strategy and content across key channels including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Yammer.

Coordinated intranet news and the distribution of weekly e-newsletters to over 2000 staff members. Worked closely with colleagues across the organisation to improve intranet content and information architecture.

Wrote and edited news stories and features for the official AFL website, AFL club websites and BigPond Sport. Lead writer for North Melbourne Football Club news. Provided live coverage of major events, including AFL Trade Week, AFL Draft, AFL Grand Final, Brownlow Medal count and All-Australian Awards. Also coordinated homepage production for AFL website, BigPond Sport and the official NRL website (www.nrl.com) on weekdays, nights and match days and advised sub-editors (production) and writers (editorial) to ensure content met standards and deadlines.

Managed the official Athletics Australia website, including editorial and rich media content, traffic reporting, budget and overall site maintenance. In February 2008, the website won the SportingPulse Information Technology Award (Australian Sports Awards). Also prepared and produced publications, including competition programs, start lists, an almanac and the Australian media guide for the 2007 world championships and maintained effective relationships with media, contributing writers, photographers, graphic designers, publishers, printers and content management system providers.

Co-wrote club publications and coordinated content, maintenance and administration of the official club website. Liaised with media through interview and information requests, media releases, press conferences, launches and photo opportunities. Assisted with media training of players and briefing of coaches. Also prepared copy for business letters, promotional and sales materials, corporate and community messages, speeches, interviews, presentations, e-news and advertising. Hosted functions of up to 500 guests.

Provided personal customer service through annual membership renewal/sale process and maintained strong relationships with many club members. Hosted various club functions and junior events.

Worked alongside AFL Media Managers for pre-season competition (Wizard Cup) and ahead of premiership season launch.
