While teaching at Mullen High School, I was also involved in revising and implementing the English department's new curriculum to create a four-year curriculum map that would best serve the students. For example, the newly scaffolded grammar and writing curriculum was designed to teach Freshmen and Sophomores the basics, focus on the seven or eight common mistakes adult writer make in Junior year, and practice these grammar and writing skills Senior year to make our graduates more college ready. ACT and SAT Verbal scores improved significantly as a result.

In the Fall of 2003, I joined the theatre faculty full time and used my experience both in the corporate world and at the Denver Center Theatre Company to teach courses in Acting for the Camera and Playwriting as well as directing several main-stage shows.My greatest accomplishment was directing a production of Eugene Ionesco's Rhinoceros that incorporated mask and movement techniques, giving students an opportunity to expand their theatre skills. The highly-acclaimed production was incredibly well attended.
