Programme and project management roles within strategic outsourcing, leading the transfer of IT service delivery responsibility into IBM from the client (or incumbent supplier) and then the transformation of the technical environment, processes and tools to achieve committed service and cost improvements. Examples of programmes led include:o A global network transformation to transfer network support responsibility across to a new supplier, to implement new network infrastructure into EMEA, US, LATAM & APAC data centres and to consolidate IP Telephony solutions. (Client: Global Advertising and Marketing Company, budget £3M)o A series of projects to implement a set of global tools & processes for service management, security, server and desktop support such that these could be used by regional transition programmes to migrate services into IBM’s control. (Client: Global Pharmaceutical Company, budget £2.4M)o Transformation of infrastructure services (mainframe, midrange, service desk and service management) in support of a contract amendment for an existing customer to achieve significant ongoing cost savings. (Client: Major UK Insurance Company, budget £6M)o Implementation of a new Data Centre facility, network, storage, systems management, helpdesk and service management capability, as well as provision of 13 mainframe LPARS and 1004 server images in support of a data centre migration. (Client: Major Automobile Manufacturer, budget £5M)Received an IBM T&T Service Excellence Award for successfully leading the on time and under budget delivery of a set of Service Readiness projects. (Client: Major UK Bank, budget £5.4M)Facilitated the professional development of IBM project managers through roles on the IBM Project Management Review Board and as a Project Management Mentor.
