(Client: Major UK Insurance Company, budget £6M)o Implementation of a new Data Centre facility, network, storage, systems management, helpdesk and service management capability, as well as provision of 13 mainframe LPARS and 1004 server images in support of a data centre migration. (Client: Major Automobile Manufacturer, budget £5M)Received an IBM T&T Service Excellence Award for successfully leading the on time and under budget delivery of a set of Service Readiness projects. Joined as a DB2 Systems Programmer and subsequently progressed through a number of Technical Team Leader positions before specialising in project & programme management. Examples of programmes led include:* Email Infrastructure Planning & Implementation - To deliver an appropriate email infrastructure (including ongoing service management) for 18,000 Lotus Notes users, whilst supporting the migration of these users across to Notes and the eventual decomissioning of a variety of legacy email systems.* Year2000 Desktop Programme - A UK-wide programme to upgrade the desktop infrastructure (approx 12,000 machines) to ensure Year2000 compliance and to provide a standardised environment to lower ongoing support costs.
