Responsible for delivering software for diverse projects across three regions (EMEA, Oceania and North America) to meet business needs. Development is carried out in an Agile fashion. I support a team of 5 developers.

In line with completing my Project Management certification, I successfully project managed a complex compliance project associated with the company complying with US Tax (FATCA) reporting requirements. This was a global project that required liaison with stakeholders in North America, Europe and Oceania. The project team was made up of 4 developers, 2 Business Analysts and a tester.Lead developer on a project to provide greater flexibility in how fees can be deducted when shareholders transact on their shares.

Seconded to another development team to provide development assistance on a large release, involving:o Modifying existing SSRS reports and creating new ones.o Conversion of legacy VB code into C#.o Enhancements to intranet site; web services and legacy interface application.

Responsible for developing quality software in line with business needs across three distinct regions (EMEA, North America and Oceania). This role was project-based.As part of a performance-driven project:o Analysis, design and development of a solution to safely remove inactive data from core registry system.o Subject matter expert and key analyst on a project to safely move inactive data to an ‘archive’ area on the system to improve performance of various batch jobs.Lead developer/architect role on a number of gap development projects associated with a large company acquisition and subsequent migration effort. These projects included:o Creation of a number of custom output files required by various key clients.o Significant enhancements in employee plans and dividends areas as dictated by requirements of the new business. These projects also required managing resources of a small project team of developers.

Building on my experience with the CREST interface, during this period I developed a messaging system in C to cater for XML format communication, as part of changes proposed by Euroclear.

Responsible for developing quality software in line with EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Asia) business needs, in COBOL. I quickly took on further responsibilities including the training and mentoring of new developers. I demonstrated a flair for tackling complex problems which led to taking on the maintenance of the CREST interface, written in C.

Responsible for providing IT support across a key department based at Craigforth in Stirling. Provided an interface to the IT department, ensuring that projects are being ordered in line with departmental priorities.
