With a degree in Education and Teacher Certification in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Texas, Steve has worked in the video industry for more than a quarter century. From the European Broadcast Union's production of the World Cup Soccer Matches, and the Atlanta Committee for International Olympic Games, to the Glaciers of British Columbia for Discovery Channel's Eco Challenge Races under the direction of producer Mark Burnett, Steve brings a diversified wealth of world-wide network experience to any project he gets involved in. He has worked for Court TV, CNN, and on "Meet The Press" with Tim Russert. Feature film work includes Disney's "Blank Check"; CBS Miniseries "Lonesome Dove"; Scary Movie; and others. For over 30 years Steve has, and continues to serve as crew leader and camera operator for the renowned PBS Music Show Austin City Limits. Austin City Limits is an award-winning National and International television series. The 2003 recipient of The National Medal Of The Arts, this musical icon of more than 40 years is the first TV show to receive this award. An award he proudly shares with Austin's KLRU/PBS Staff and ACL's production crew. As the Technical Advisor to the University of Texas Broadcast School of Journalism classes, he was responsible for upgrading and installing radio and TV studio equipment while instructing students in the proper use of cameras, switchers, chroma-key, graphics, teleprompter, lighting, audio and digital video playback and recordings. He developed and produced the "Texas Newswatch" logo and photo ID press passes for the reporters and acted as production manager / technical engineer for their live-streamed newscasts. He also initiated & updated their website. Steve also offers his services to many high tech corporations and businesses for their conventions, conferences, trade shows, promotional events and advertising projects.
