The EBS project is a multi-year effort to pare over 100 legacy systems down to a dozen, centered around new installations of SAP, Maximo, and Documentum. My responsibilities included tailoring, custom coding and integration of Maximo with legacy systems via Web services, ongoing support and stabilization. Other responsibilities include future release planning, environment configuration, and representation of the DTE Architecture group within the EBS project.I’ve also assisted Detroit Edison in their rapid-development, open source Express projects, designed to be a low-cost, rapid way to assimilate various department-level and skunk-work projects and merge them into the IT infrastructure where Java is the strongly preferred technology choice. This approach includes Java Server Faces technologies, MySQL databases and Apache Tomcat servlet containers.
