My experience as an executive and previous Vistage member enables me to equip leaders with the support and resources necessary to achieve their full potential. As General Patton said, “A good plan, violently executed now, is better than a perfect plan next week.” This quote sums up my approach to business. Our Vistage group is dynamic and acts once we identify gaps. I will continue to lead our group to provide each other with the structure, advice, and perspective necessary to make the tough decisions, attain goals, and excel for their employees, clients, and communities. My extensive leadership experience, including serving as President/CEO for Hitachi GE Lighting and Lummus Corporation, provided me with a perspective on the shared challenges businesses face. Joining a Vistage group and now facilitating that same group was an easy decision. When non-competing business leaders work collaboratively, they gain a unique insight and valuable unbiased viewpoints. The camaraderie and framework that peer advisory groups provide are unmatched. Through one-to-one coaching sessions, award-winning speakers, and group meetings, CEOs and business leaders become better leaders, better decision-makers, and achieve better results. When I am not coaching CEOs and business owners, I am spending my time downhill skiing and golfing and enjoy serving on various advisory boards, including the North Carolina State University College of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
