After graduating with a civil engineering degree and a short spell in consultancy, Steve spent 10 years working in London developing the specification sales for Electrak. In 2008 Electrak was acquired by Legrand and Steve was appointed as Lead Marketing Manager, where he project managed the front-office merger of Electrak and Zucchini to form the new Power Distribution Business Unit.After 10 successful years developing his marketing skills, and then following Legrand's acquisition of CP Electronics; Steve was given the opportunity to learn a new market and step up to the next level within the Energy Controls Business Unit as Product Development Director, taking the responsibility of running the R&D operation for CP.The focus at CP, was to develop a roadmap and development program in collaboration with the wider Legrand group; taking lighting control beyond energy saving to a connected solution, improving user experience, wellbeing and space optimisation. This role saw Steve develop his leadership skills and expose him to the experience required for when the opportunity arose to return to head office to take the next step up as Marketing Director of Legrand UK & Ireland.
