Steve has extensive real estate sales and acquisitions experience. He was the broker of Martels Real Estate inc. for six years. Martels Real Estate inc. has been under Steve's management for five years and became one of Ottawa, Ontario’s largest private firms. In 2008, Steve also outsold 2,425 real estate agents in Ottawa and placed 8th in the number of homes sold out of all real estate agents and #1 Sales agent in North America under the age of 30.

Established in 2007, Martel Group of Companies, LLC was created to acquire single family homes in Atlanta, GA. At the time, the company hired Steve to create a complete system and business model that would allow the company and its employees to successfully acquire and manage single family properties sight unseen from a different country, Canada. Based on this criteria, Steve was able to create a complete, trademarked 8-step system that now allows the company to acquire 10-15 single family homes per month and rents them to families with special needs - sight unseen.

Senior Managing Broker Martels Real Estate, Inc. is one of the top private real estate firms in Ottawa specializing in acquiring residential properties for investors. Steve became a sales representative at the age of 18 and managed to sell 57 homes within the first year while the average realtor sold 5 homes or less. In his first year, Steve reached the top 1% of all real estate sales representatives and in 2008 became the eighth largest producer out of 2,500 sales representatives in the Ottawa Board of Realtors. He was the #1 realtor under 30 in North America.In 2008, Steve was promoted to Senior Managing Broker where he was charged with hiring and training new agents and turning them into top producing agents. He created a state of the art reverse prospecting marketing system that allows the company to continually generate over 1,500 leads per year of qualified, motivated buyers and sellers that are looking to sell within the next 6 months within the Ottawa real estate market. Despite the real estate market slow down and the global economic downturn, Steve continued to increase revenues for the company.
