With 25+ years of experience in IT and over 18 years of that focused specifically on customer experience technology I have experienced a lot of the good and bad the industry has to offer. Even the greatest technology innovations can fail if they haven’t fully considered the needs of the consumer. Its that coming together of people and technology that I am passionate about; the technology innovation, its use in society, the implications of it and how we can better understand and use it to our advantage. It’s not about features and functions, it’s about HOW it can be used and WHAT benefit they will get from it ?, how will it work with a geo separated team ?, how does with integrate with our existing platforms ?.Technology changes incredibly fast but not always for the better in everyone’s view, it’s about understanding the perspectives and helping others to see what is most beneficial for them. This is true both in industry and at home, more and more the boundaries and expectations are changing between what we expect from the brands we love and the technologies we need. My aim is to help people with understanding this and making the right choices. Being able to translate from business to IT, IT to business, CMO to IT and all combinations in between is critical in enabling people to make the right choices. Outside of work I love gadgets, tech, cars and my wife and kids (who put up with my constant “innovations” in the home).
