Aircraft Flight Manual Generation – Used Python to generate updated flight manual performance charts for a USAF aircraft based on flight test data and extrapolations based on standard engineering techniques. Supported translation of flight manual data to electronic formats for use in aircraft Flight Management System (FMS).UAS Avionics Engineer – Setup and equipped an avionic lab and workshop to expand DAR inhouse manufacturing capabilities. Oversaw other employees in the design and implementation of UAS systems for two separate Part 107 UAS projects (35lb and 55lb aircraft) for the US Government. These are based on ArduPilot firmware on the Orange Cube.RC Aircraft Construction – Built several radio control aircraft for testing different avionics systems for use in larger UASs. At DAR these were based on ArduPilot, but for personal use I have also built a couple using BetaFlight to get a broader background in what is on the market.

Program Management – Managed a number of flight test programs for KSR. These programs have spanned a range of aircraft and customers. Examples include: Lockheed C-130H2 for L-3 Communications; Boeing 747SP for L-3 as part of NASA's SOFIA program; Canadair CL-415 for Tru Simulation; Aerospatiale AS-332 Helicopter for CAE.Flight Test Support – Fulfilled a wide range of duties including: flight test plan generation, flight planning, crew coordination, program tracking, pre/post flight test support, data processing and analysis, data review, and flight test document preparation. Aircraft Simulation - Developed aerodynamic, engine, and ground reaction software models for several simulators certified for pilot training. Provided on-site integration support of aircraft models into customer simulators. Software Development – Served as the primary software developer for large portions of KSR’s simulation environment and in-house data processing software. Developed in-house MS Access database tools for test plan generation and program tracking. Continue to support KSR software by adding new features and resolving reported problems. Often worked as needed in various customer environments.Instrumentation – Carried out instrumentation planning and installation of test equipment in several aircraft. Performed calibrations of sensors as needed in instrumented aircraft.IT Infrastructure Support – Provided end user support for KSR’s employees and general network support for MS Windows servers and PCs. Deployed and maintained the in-house Subversion version control server, PostgreSQL server, and in-house Cygwin mirror. Training – Wrote in-house training manuals. Provided onsite training to customers of KSR software. Once taught a NATO sponsored short course on flight test techniques for the Turkish Air Force.Addtional
