ComputerPro is a management consultancy and software development company. As a consultant at ComputerPro, Steve was the technical lead on a number of large government and corporate software development projects. These include: Prisoner Transportation: Steve headed the requirements gathering and analysis, architecture, and development of PACS, a system used by the Victorian State Government and G4S Australia to plan and manage the daily transportation of adult prisoners throughout the States of Victoria and South Australia.Immigration System: Steve led the requirements gathering and analysis, architecture, and development of ISIS, the Immigration Services Information System, used by the Federal Government Department of Immigration and G4S Australia to manage immigration detainees and detention centers in Australia.IT Strategy: Steve developed the solution architecture strategy for the Rural and Regional Health and Aged Care Services Division of the Victorian Government Department of Human Services IT Strategy Review 2009 – 2014.Steelworks Security Pass System: Steve planned and executed the gathering, analysis and documentation of requirements for the security pass application management system for BlueScope Steel, the operators of the Port Kembla steelworks in NSW, Australia.Bottom line: Steve improved ComputerPro's bottom-line by identifying opportunities for development, delivering software projects on time and on budget, and providing technical input to successful RFPs.

IOOF is an Australian fund manager and administrator with $32.8 billion (AUD) under management and administration. Steve was employed as a senior architect and his responsibilities and achievements included:Advisor Desktop Re-development: The Advisor Desktop (ADT) enabled Independent Financial Advisors to manage their clients and their client’s accounts. When Steve joined IOOF the ADT was running very poorly and was in need of replacement. Steve aided in the re-architecting and redesign of the replacement ADT. Steve also led the development with a team of four web-application developers. New Fund Management System: Steve was assigned to a team tasked with the high-level design of a funds management system to replace the existing mainframe solution.

Spherion (formerly Interim Technology Solutions) operated a solutions business in Melbourne, Australia. Steve joined Spherion as a software developer and technical business analyst. Steve's responsibilities and achievements included:Container Ship Visits System: Steve led the requirements gathering, analysis and documentation for the redevelopment of the SHIPS system, used to manage container ship visits to the port of Melbourne, for the Port of Melbourne Corporation.Horse Racing Information System: Steve designed and developed numerous modules for Racing Victoria’s horse racing management and information system.

Jeans West is a national clothing retailer with over 400 stores in Australia and New Zealand. Steve was employed by Jeans West to maintain and enhance their Point of Sale (POS) and overnight processing systems. Steve's achievements at Jeans West included:Critical Issue Resolution: At the commencement of employment, Steve solved a long running problem that had been sporadically causing Jeans West’s Point of Sale EFT units to cancel a purchase transaction. Process Automation: Steve successfully automated a number of overnight processing steps that had previously been completed manually.

Microcraft is an Australian multi-media and e-learning development organization. The highlights of Steve's experience at Microcraft include:Software Development: Design and development of the e-learning tool, Author Development, part of the Author application suite. Author Development enables non-programmers to create interactive e-learning modules. Subsequently, Microcraft won the Australian Information Technology Award for Author.Training: Assisting and leading training courses of up to fifteen participants in the use of Author and the production of multimedia assets. Clients included Hamersley Iron, ICI, National Australia Bank and Australia Post.eLearning Development: Extensive use of the Author products to produce interactive e-learning modules for Microcraft clients. Participated in the full sales and delivery cycle from initial client contact and quoting to development and delivery of the finished product. Tasks included audio and video production, graphic design, 3D animation, and scripting.
