Responsibilities included planning, managing and checking design work, developing proposals, budgeting, and coordinating resources with other engineering disciplines and other Jacobs’s offices. Projects included energy efficiency retrofit programs, building electrical system layouts, and electrical system assessments.

Supervised team of engineers and designers responsible for KUB’s 69kV transmission and 13kV distribution systems. Responsibilities included asset management and budgeting. Coordinated and managed consultants, contractors and internal resources to plan and complete $10M annually in capital projects.

Responsible for acquiring $150MM annually in electric, natural gas, and water utility construction projects, materials and services. One of six people at KUB with purchase contract signature authority. Worked closely with engineering, operations, legal counsel, and other internal customers to develop bids and RFP’s, award contracts, monitor contract compliance and facilitated dispute resolution. Implemented alliance contracts for goods and services to leverage spend and streamline the acquisition process. Planned and managed successful outsourcing of non-core functions including warehouse operations and facilities maintenance. Led cross-functional team to redesign the process of planning, tracking and accounting for materials usage.

Provided single point of contact service to large industrial and commercial customers. Acted as liaison between customers and all KUB departments. Assisted customers in analyzing utility usage and developing cost saving strategies and performed economic analyses of utility expansion projects to support customer operations.
