I’m the founder of Travel Marketing Systems with over 20 years of experience in the Travel and Hospitality sector. As a fully paid-up member of the ‘win at technology, win at business’ school of thought, I’m on a mission to level the travel industry playing field by making digital marketing technology and know-how more accessible to the smaller travel specialists. Working with independent travel agents and tour operators, I provide unique automated software solutions and website design services that ensure even the smallest travel business can remain visible and thrive in a competitive, online world.I have a rare mix of business experience that spans the whole spectrum from small owner-managed businesses right through to large blue chips (TUI, British American Tobacco, Legal and General). My preference lies firmly with the creativity and nimbleness of SMEs. It was my privilege to work with Graham Simpson as MD of the award-winning tour operator Simply Travel where I was responsible for delivering the final growth stage and successful sale of the business to Thomson Holidays. This led to the opportunity to be involved in the start-up stage of his current venture, Simpson Travel.My goal was always to work for myself. I have started, grown and sold 3 hospitality businesses of my own so I understand from first principles what it means to put your neck on the line and build a business from scratch. Travel Marketing Systems is the culmination of my professional experience, bringing my passions for travel, technology and small business together to enable travel business owners to adapt and thrive in the digital age.
