Colleagues describe him as "Having Steven as our summer intern during COVID-19 was the best thing that happened to Immersive Cure! Because Steven was part of the team meant that I could not give up on our mission. We are a startup company providing relief from pain, anxiety, and stress through the use of Virtual Reality for the Senior population and Veterans. As you can imagine, not many nursing homes were entertaining the use of VR. This was the perfect time to develop more content, to continue researching and build relationships for future collaborative efforts. Steven came to us with an interest in expanding his knowledge of a hobby he had creating videos. He leaves us with a much deeper knowledge and skillset in 360 Virtual Reality content creation, a deeper empathy for the long-term care and hospice patients, vast knowledge of Veteran and Hospice organizations, and a legacy of beautiful VR content that he helped create. His ability to learn independently, ask important questions, pivot when faced with obstacles, persevere when the research was not something that was of particular interest to him, create well-organized data presented in a succinct manner, all of these skills kept us moving this summer. This young man will be a valued employee from the first day of hire and having experienced his flexibility and eagerness to learn new things, he will be the employee who you will be promoting on a fast track."
