I am responsible for the delivery and management of the IT infrastructure within the Shared Services Partnership.Key Achievements NHS Wales - Shared Services –  I am responsible for infrastructure project management and system project management Change and release management Service delivery and improvement I manage multiple third party project teams, network engineers, database engineers and lead developers I facilitate the development team in the creation of applications, patches and coding changes I forecast, schedule and manage technical teams to upgrade and implement hardware and software into secure data centres I oversee the execution of data migration activities from legacy server environments into the hosted infrastructure Leading risk, issue and progress reports I coordinate testing activities to achieve project sign off deliverables  Facilitate lessons learned and trigger project closure activities I am responsible for the continual service improvement with the IT infrastructure; this includes configuration changes, fault finding, patches, code changes, problem management, change/release management and upgrades

PSBA Project I was responsible for delivering a WAN transformation project to upgrade 204 sites throughout Wales ensuring each site is connected to the NHS network Originally called Dawn2, I was responsible for ensuring the project implementation met the brief by replacing the existing ISDN link to a 1/2MB connection (PSBA) I managed a diverse range of stakeholders ranging from practice managers, third party installation engineers (Logicalis) and local engineers I successfully negotiated with key clients downtime to migrate at each sites to deliver the project on time I managed work packages by exception to install comms cabinet and cabling where necessary to house new hardware I coordinated testing activities to achieve project sign off deliverables  Facilitated lessons learned and trigger project closure activities This groundwork allowed the smooth rollout of the PSBA2 project, an 8mb link into all GP sites

Key Achievements General Practitioner (GP) Infrastructure Support Service Project I am responsible for delivering the infrastructure readiness into 204 General Practitioner practices  I am accountable for all stages of the project lifecycle from initiation through to acceptance into live service I coordinate infrastructure surveys with multiple stakeholders that include practice managers, IT managers, Lead GP’s, third party project managers and engineers I am responsible for managing third parties who implement work packages covering cabling upgrades and maintenance schedules  I co-ordinated the strategy for transitioning servers hosting business critical applications to a new hosting environment I forecast, schedule and manage technical teams to build and implement hardware and software into secure data centres I oversee the execution of data migration activities from legacy server environments to the new hosted system at the Blaenavon data centre I am responsible for the migration of third party applications to the new hosted environment, through engaging multiple stakeholders  Leading risk, issue and progress reports I coordinate testing activities to achieve project sign off deliverables  Facilitate lessons learned and trigger project closure activities
