Worked on the Android SDK for the Trusted Location platform. On that project I was the lead developer for the Android SDK, developed the SDK, sample application, test framework, analytics and crash collection. Worked heavily with our product manager and test team to make sure we had the right API in place and collected the right data points to determine a high value risk assessment score on the location reported by the user device. Worked on the current and next generation mapping solution for Android, iPhone and BB10. Starting with improving application quality by improving MTTF, overall power consumption, memory usage. Working on power optimization of the brand new BlackBerry10 platform to provide the best possible battery life from the application layer. Bridging the gap between the OS layer and Application layer by being the SME in terms of the effect applications have on overall battery life. Helping to provide solutions and root cause analysis of battery drain issues when they come from the Application layer and helping to determine the root cause when the issue bridges the gap of the platform and application space.Provided training to internal and external developers on log analysis, system profiling, and system debugging on the QNX platform as well as how to identify power drain issues coming from applications.Worked with internal and external application teams to optimize their application in terms of performance and battery life.

Presented the concepts to a team of HMI experts and went through the process of getting the tool into our standard common library.

Developed feature work for the market leading Hugs Infant Protection Hospital Security and Tracking tool. Developed a web-based reporting tool using leading edge JSP and AJAX technology to create a fluid report that did not require page refreshes. The reporting engine provided the user the ability to make stored and new MySQL database queries using simple selection and filtering options. The engine also provided the ability to generate graphical charts and customized reports.For final project of my engineering degree, worked with VeriChip to develop a prototype of a TCP/IP local area RF receiver. The receiver was designed using an HCS12 chip with a customized reduced TCP/IP stack which I helped to design and develop.Received 2 NSERC Industrial Undergraduate Student Research Awards
