Steven Arrasmith, earned his Associate of Applied Science in Massage Therapy in 2024 where he graduated with highest honors and awarded Student of the Year 2023-2024. Skilled in a variety of massage techniques, including Shiatsu, Swedish, trigger point, myofascial, foot reflexology, hydrotherapy and sports massage. He holds a Master of Arts in Music Education from Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University. Experienced General Manager in the hospitality industry skilled in Revenue Management, Training, Human Resources, Budgeting, Team Building & Leadership. Licensed Massage Therapist with a private practice and volunteering his talents around Bend Oregon. He has 17+ years of hotel & hospitality management with experience in developing client relationships, leading teams and managing national award winning customer services. He is the sole owner of Duckerdoo Reeds & Studio where he prides himself on high quality, hand-crafted bassoon reeds as well as teaching private professional music instruction to a wide range of ages and abilities. Key responsibilities include: reed production, sales, customer relationships, expediting products, lesson plan development and private instruction. Accomplished clarinetist & bassoonist, performing with professional and armature ensembles throughout Oregon and Washington. Studied under Lori Calhoun, principal clarinetist at the Rogue Valley Symphony, and Dr. Rhett Bender, Professor of Music at Southern Oregon University. Arrasmith has performed with the Oregon East Symphony, Central Oregon Symphony, Mid-Columbia Theater, Grande Ronde Symphony Orchestra and many more ensembles. He toured England, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria as an Oregon Ambassadors of Music. Recipient of the Laurel Music Scholarship, John Philip Sousa Award and listed in the National Honors Society as well as the National Deans List. Performed with Rogue Valley Symphony Orchestra, Rogue Opera Company, SOU Wind Ensemble, SOU Clarinet Consortium, Inter-Collegiate Honor Bands; along with numerous smaller quintets and ensembles, such as the Rogue Wanders Quintet which had the honor of performing a preconcert show at the Britt Music Festivals.
