Founded and lead a private consulting practice focused on conflict and political economy analysis and monitoring and evaluation. Projects include an in-depth assessment of the closing of civic space in Cambodia, an audit of a major INGO's peace and conflict programs to assess its contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and developing guidance on rights-based approaches to development, as part of a tool utilized in USAID missions globally.

Led The Richardson Center's diplomatic and programmatic efforts in Myanmar and Bangladesh, providing strategic advice, analysis, and recommendations to influence key policy decisions affecting conflict, development, humanitarian assistance and regional and international relations. I designed and implemented innovative and nimble programs to improve conditions for Rohingya and affected Bangladeshi communities in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. I built broad and deep networks across government, the private sector, UN and humanitarian agencies, civil society and donors, including maintaining donor relations and securing funding for all programming.

Served as lead Myanmar expert to former Gov. Bill Richardson, guiding his role on the Advisory Board on Rakhine. I developed analysis and strategies to implement the recommendations of the Kofi Annan-led Rakhine Advisory Commission, crafted recommendations to address conflict and rights abuses in Rakhine State, and authored op-eds, statements, and talking points.

Led a diverse team in the strategic design and implementation of a project to prevent and mitigate conflict in Myanmar's Rakhine State, including designing and facilitating trainings on conflict prevention and resolution, facilitating dialogue between Rohingya and Rakhine community leaders, and successfully brokering commitments to non-violence in advance of parliamentary elections in 2015. I traveled across Rakhine State to conduct conflict analyses and led briefings for UN agencies, Kofi Annan-led Rakhine Advisory Commission, Myanmar Government, and diplomats, influencing key policy and programmatic decisions. I was also responsible for all aspects of program management, from program design, to devising and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans, to cultivating donor relations, writing proposals, and securing multi-year funding.

Supported The Carter Center's long-term election observation mission for the 2015 elections in Myanmar, including authoring analytical memos for President Jimmy Carter and senior Carter Center staff on political developments in Myanmar, briefing materials for elections observers, and drafting sections of The Carter Center's public reports on the elections.

Co-authored "Adapting and Evolving: The Implications of Transnational Terrorism for UN Field Missions" for the UN Departments of Peacekeeping Operations and Political Affairs, conducting cases studies of Mali and Somalia and presenting findings to the United Nations, U.S. State Department, and think tanks in New York and Washington, DC.

As a member of the Office of Learning and Training, conducted an evaluation of the policy impact of CSO's scenario-based exercises, drafted a review for CSO’s engagement in Myanmar, culled lessons on mitigating electoral violence from CSO’s work across several countries, and supported planning of scenario-based exercise assessing possible electoral violence in Bangladesh in January 2014.

While it was still a startup, designed and managed the World Justice Project's engagement efforts, including developing and overseeing a portfolio of seed grants to improve rule of law Asia and Africa and convening diverse stakeholders to increase awareness of and adherence to the rule of law through the World Justice Forum and regional fora in Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Led a team of six, facilitated a strategic review of the WJP's engagement efforts, and identified potential funders and authored successful grant applications.

Supported multi-year program to address corruption in Cambodia, including developing an innovative initiative to engage the private sector and successfully recruiting dozens of businesses to join, assisting in the formation of a national coalition of civil society organizations to monitor resource revenue transparency and accountability, and analyzing corruption in the land titling process. I managed all aspects of sub-grants, including engagement with sub-grantees and vendors and financial and donor reporting.

Co-authored "Breaking Point: Measuring Progress in Afghanistan," a comprehensive evaluation of reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan from July 2005 to February 2007; participated in high-level meetings and briefings in Washington, DC and Kabul, Afghanistan for the UN, NATO, World Bank, U.S. Departments of Defense and State, U.S. Congressional committees, served as a guest lecturer at American University foreign policy class, and organized Afghanistan-related events at CSIS.

Authored “The Final Peace: A Resource Guide to Recent Sudan Agreements” as an annex in To Guarantee the Peace: An Action Strategy for a Post-Conflict Sudan and researched and authored a Fact Sheet on Iraq’s transitional national assembly elections.

Formulated briefings for former Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen covering topics related to international policy and current events, prepared “Iraq Reconstruction Daily News," and assisted in the research and design of a presentation for a Fortune 500 company seeking to procure defense contracts.
