I am a partner in Proskauer’s global dispute resolution group and have over 25 years' experience advising clients on complex, often multi-jurisdictional disputes in the fields of general commercial law and private international law. I focus in particular on commercial disputes in the financial services and technology and communications sectors, although my experience includes advising clients in the commodities, energy and defence sectors. I have extensive experience of litigating at at every level of the UK courts and of commercial arbitration in various jurisdictions and pursuant to several institutional rules (primarily LCIA, ICC and SIAC).In 2019, Benchmark Litigation named me as "UK lawyer of the year" in its inaugural Europe awards and I have been designated a national star every year since. Chambers & Partners recognises me as "a tremendous litigator - ...very clever and efficient, and handles multiple clients well" and as being "very thoughtful, very into the detail, but equally takes a very commercial stance", "very good at running complex commercial disputes, very bright and a pleasure to deal with." I am also recognised by Legal 500 for commercial litigation and as a Leading Individual for banking litigation, whilst I was also named a 2018 Client Services All-Star by the BTI Consulting Group, which selects lawyers who "deliver outstanding legal skills and superior client services" based on hundreds of in-depth, independent interviews with legal corporate counsel at the world's leading organisations.I lecture and present regularly on dispute resolution related matters, including at the Said Business School, University of Oxford. I am also the co-author of a leading English law text on technology disputes: "IT Contracts and Dispute Management: A Practitioner's Guide to the Project Lifecycle" (Edward Elgar Publishing, ISBN:9781784710118).
