RWS (formerly SDL) is a language translation company and Rich Media Delivery is the Media Localisation division. We localise most types of media such as games, marketing content, training & Elearning. As a Senior Sound Engineer, my main role is to oversee a project from beginning to end, from providing accurate analysis of a new job, to recording actors in our in-house studio, implementing AI solutions including Text to Speech dubbing and carrying out the post process to the project requirements. To fulfil this, I utilize and manage translation teams, linguistic review teams and if its a larger project manage a team of audio engineers (both internal and external) and run quality check processes. I also create and record training videos for new starters within our team.

Some of the software i regularly use is Avid Protools 12 HD, Izotope RX audio editor, Waves Power Pack, Magix Vegas and Soundforge, Adobe Audition, Premier and After Effects.

My Primary role as an inside sales executive at SDL was to develop business for their desktop solution and service products. I achieved this by monitoring inbound contact from existing or potential clients as well as searching for and acquiring new custom. I also attended a number of live events held by both SDL and partnered companies to help promote our brand and answer any questions clients, existing or new, may have.I worked closely with the Marketing team to assist in planning campaigns by suggesting ideas for promotions and the timing of them. My advice was important as I was in the heart of the industry, meeting and talking to many people, both client side and people with influence within the industry and paying close attention to what changes may be occurring within the market. I would strategically plan offerings based on client feedback on what and how they use our software and of course what our competitors were offering.

The Inside Sales Group drive the Renewal of Support and Software contracts and Tech Refresh side to the business for both direct accounts and accounts managed by the 1st and 2nd Tier resellers. I am currently aligned to the Enterprise and Territory Finance district’s managing over 200 accounts and have previously maintained the Major Enterprise and Southern Named account territories. Attention to detail and organisation is crucial as failing to renew an end users support contract would result in their equipment not being covered for disc and hardware failure. I have demonstrated a high level of up selling and development of business, improving my districts renewal and refresh rate 40% on the previous year by managing my districts pipeline in a more organised and strategic way. I have also assisted in helping develop Computacenter to be more self sufficient in securing renewal and up sell opportunities contributing to an increase of 88% for NetApp service and contract renewals on their previous year.When I first started at NetApp I was a member of their Pre Sales Support team. Their main responsibility was to support the Sales Reps in quoting new configured systems and submitting discounted business propositions for approval. During this time, to ensure I quoted and advised correct configurations I received a vast amount of technical training and developed a firm understanding of NetApp products and how and why they are used. I also attended a NCDA boot camp course that trained me in how to implement NetApp software and protocols at a data administrator level. I also assisted in managing their Evaluation pool. This is where they had a pool of systems kept at their dedicated courier’s site that was sent out to potential customers and existing customers sites for them to try the products before they made a decision to purchase a system or software.

Here I maintained a provided Logistical and Managed Warehouse services for a number of company's in both the IT and Healthcare fields.I was the first point of contact from the customers point of view, engaging our transport and warehouse teams to organise the services being utilized.
