 Field initial questions from EAM, Jtrans, and Rates administrators in the department for resolution.  Monitor workload balance among the team Ensure any and all issues with accounts/shipments have been resolved. Raise issues with Carriers/Agents as needed Maintain current Agent relationships and ensure any issues are resolved quickly.  Responsible for supervision of collection of outstanding invoices for team in conjunction with our collections department. Ensure all staff members are properly trained for their position Monitor all personnel issues, addressing as needed with the support of the office manager.  Coordinate / designate back-up for accounts to review and delegate work-flow with others are out on PTO.  Audit files for accuracy, and profitability.  Ensure closeouts are handled timely by the administrators.  Represent the John S. James Co. by attending transportation related meetings as requested by the Office Manager.  Ensure the John S. James Co. complies with all rules and regulations regarding import shipments and policies. Provide feedback to the office manager for International Transportation Department employees on an annual basis. Assist sales in developing new accounts. Train new employees – working with human resources Be available for travel at all times for visiting accounts, potential customers, educational seminars/meetings or other offices.

 Primary point of contact for all rate requests generated internally and externally for John S James/Eur-A-Med Shipping.  Respond to all Office and Agent raised inquiries but not limited to requesting rate quotes, answering questions or general follow up. Interpret and prepare shipment specific rate quotes as determined by request received and any supporting documentation provided.  Distribute and communicate all rate quotes to the office(s), Agents or Third Party as necessary. Provide rate quote backup to J-Trans/Eur-A-Med administrator as required/necessary. Complete daily follow up on any outstanding rate requests until rate quote is provided to the appropriate party.  Preform Cost Analysis on all shipments to ensure shipments are properly quoted and JSJ/EAM profitability.  Maintain hard-copy files and records for all shipments that comply with company standards.  Troubleshoot all Office and Agent raised concerns in a timely manner. Retain current business and cultivate new business through daily communication with Office(s) and Agent Network. Direct feedback to management.
