I was responsible for planning, designing and implementing projects to increase the foot-print and service area of the AT&T fiber and cellular network. This entailed contacting potential new customers, both residential and commercial, to analyze their telecommunication needs and determine how best to provide the infrastructure that best fit their needs and work within the time constraints of their own building and construction schedule. These were for large retail customers such as Amazon and the PGA, large shopping centers, single and multifamily residential developments, cell sites, as well as smaller pre-existing individual businesses and residential requirements. I would work with the developers, contractors, municipalities and utility companies to coordinate the locating, mapping, placing of new service infrastructure. I would also work with the municipalities and utility company's to help eliminate conflicts with existing services and facilitate the placing of new infrastructure in accordance with local and state guidelines. I was also responsible for resolving conflicts that resulted in new customers not being able to have their telecommunications service installed. This involved researching old and new records, field visits to the customers as well as working with the repair and splicing technicians and supervisors with in AT&T to resolve the roadblocks and get the service activated. This job required the ability to balance as many as 40 different projects at once that were all in different phases of completion. It also needed someone who could deal with multiple roadblocks at once, the ability to coordinate and liaison with private and government entities, and to maintain an immediate knowledge of all projects in order to satisfy the status updates required by our customers.
