Most of my career has been working on behalf of justice for the common folk in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts . After working as a law clerk for the Hon Joseph L Tauro, US District Court in Boston, I worked a staff and Managing Attorney for Greater Boston Legal Services and then The Student Legal Services Office at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst MA.AlI worked a few years in private practice and as a Supervising Counsel II for the then Dept of Social Services as a child protective services lawyerIn a curious turn of direction I obtained a Masters in Tax Law from Boston University followed up with 3 plus years as a Tax and Real Estate Associate with the Boston Law firm Brown Rudnick Freed and Gesmer.In 1988 I returned to live in the Amherst - Northampton area From then to my retirement in 2015…I worked as a Counsel II Supervising Child Support attorney with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue Child Support Enforcement Recently I am in the process of organizing a group of my law school classmates and meeting with the Columbia Law School Alumni Relations Office . We plan to have a panel / zoom presentation on the Alternative Practice of Law I would encourage connections with any law student or lawyer with similar interests,⚖️🙋🏻‍♂️🗽
