Steven Beunder (1969) works as Associate Master Planner-Director for Townland Consultants and is based in Mumbai, India. He has more than 20 years Consultancy experience in large scale strategic Master Planning as well as detailed site specific Urban Planning and Urban Design, for Governments, the Private Sector, Institutions and Development Agencies.He started his career in the Netherlands where he worked for 10 years as an Urban Planner and gained a particular experience in Urban Heritage and Brownfield Revitalization Projects. For Townland Consultants and Aedas he worked from Jakarta and Hong Kong before shifting to Mumbai in 2008. In the last 10 years he has worked on numerous Master Planning and Urban Design Projects in India and across the South East Asia region, particularly on large scale New Towns/Townships, Mixed Use Commercial Districts, Tourism Developments, Urban Renewal, Transit Oriented and Smart City Developments.
