Brown Packing Co., Inc. is a beef packer and byproducts rendering company located in Gaffney, SC. With approximately 600 employees, the company operates a beef harvest and fabrication facility and supplies beef products to processors and distributors. I was honored to have been elected to serve on Cherokee County Council for a 4 year term. On March 21, 2016, I announced that I would not seek a second term in office. During my time in office, we have been fortunate to have accomplished a great deal. I will be forever grateful for the time I was given to serve the people of Cherokee County.Noteworthy Accomplishments● Record number of jobs recruited● Led initiatives to better target businesses● Reduced County Government with the sale of the county-operated senior care facility.● Stabilized County funding, accumulating proper funding reserves to protect taxpayers.● Restructured government services with municipalities to ensure that all citizens were served adequately and fairly.● Allocated capital improvements to infrastructure based solely on need based assessment.● Successfully worked with Administration and Council to fund replacement of capital based on projected life to correspond to funding.● Led initiatives to reduce workload on employees and make data more accessible to the public with technology.

Given the opportunity to lead the County's Republican Party during these years. Leading through a time of significant growth, including electing three Republicans to seats prior held by the Democratic Party for the past 100 years.
