Over the last 12 years, I have focused on new product planning, starting with immuno-oncology and expanding into nephrology, neurology and other therapeutic areas.     My most notable accomplishment is that I was a key contributor to the initiation of a clinical trial of BION-1301 in patients with IgA nephropathy, which was a significant strategic change from immuno-oncology to nephrology. The change led to a merger with Chinook, which reported positive Phase 2 results for BION-1301 and has advanced the therapy into Phase 3. Chinook was acquired by Novartis because of “two high-value, late-stage assets in development for IgA nephropathy,” including BIO-1301 (now named zigakibart)During my tenure as Associate Director, Market Planning, I represented the Commercial group on multiple project teams. I assessed market opportunities and competition for a broad portfolio of antibodies, small molecules and cell-based therapies for cancer – particularly immuno-oncology – and autoimmune diseases. I evaluated SoC, unmet medical needs and competing therapeutics to identify potential strategic fits with putative mechanisms of action. I prepared target product profiles and high-level, preliminary revenue forecasts. In parallel, I led initial messaging development and supported medical affairs.Prior to Market Planning, I was Associate Director, Strategic Development. I provided market and competitive intelligence for the lead asset, then in Phase 2 in pancreatic cancer and Phase 1b in mesothelioma, to support commercialization plans. I covered key oncology conferences to track competition and trends. In addition, I was the liaison with outside counsel and was responsible for reviewing simple contracts (such as NDAs, MTAs, consulting agreements) and tracking all pending and completed contracts. I was also the business development analyst for acquisition and in-licensing of immuno-oncology therapeutics and intellectual property. And I was primary author on press releases and curator of the company website 2012-2013.
