Steven is a Conveyancer and Attorney who specialises in advising on, negotiating and drafting agreements relating to all aspects of property developments from inception to finalisation. Steven is based at our Claremont branch and assists Martin Sheard and Allan White in overseeing the Property Development Department which processes developments, from large to small, for numerous established property developers and new developers, who STBB guide through the development process. Steven has evolved a “hands on” style with regular personal interaction with clients. His role in the department continuously grows his experience and knowledge ensuring Steven remains at the forefront of all relevant property law changes and innovations.Steven has 17 years’ experience as an admitted Attorney and Conveyancer and in addition to developments has advised on and executed numerous significant commercial property transactions for both private equity parties and the listed sector. Steven regularly advises clients relating to their purchase and sale of residential and investment properties and attends to the conveyancing arising from such transactions. Steven also advises on broad Sectional Title and Home Owners and Property Owners Association issues, such as the establishment of two unit Sectional Title Schemes which are now permissible in terms of single residential zoning within the City of Cape Town.Steven is married with three children and balances his work life with family time which is often spent camping and enjoying the outdoors and exploring rural areas of Southern Africa. Steven has been a long-time member of the Cape Town Cricket Club, having played league club cricket for approximately 15 years until recently, and enjoys all sports, proud of having completed an ABSA Cape Epic and is presently an active member of Celtic Harriers Running Club, completing the Comrades Marathon in 2018.Steven uses his legal, business and leadership experience to assist numerous community organisations on a voluntary basis including as the present Chairman of the Cape Town Cricket Club, a member of the St Bernard’s Parish Council, Executive Committee member of the League of Friends of the Blind and Executive Committee member of Celtic Harriers Running Club.
