I left a great Kroger company and went straight to work with Nissan Motor Company-North America. I started out on the Trim line as a line technician and within five years made line leader. After four years I was promoted to Area Manager. When Nissan decided to build a new truck plant in Mississippi, I was chosen to represent the Smyrna plant as a new Manager in Mississippi and to help get the new plant off the ground and start producing some of the best trucks built in the marketplace!I was a founding member of the iFA team (integrated Factory Automation). Upon choosing an area of the plant that we thought could use some automation or we could take out NVW (non value work). I would start working with the Supervisor of that production line and explain the goals that we wanted to accomplished. My goal was to at least take out one or two technicians. This could always save the company one hundred or one hundred fifty thousand dollars per year.
