To accomplish aviation unit, and intermediate maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on all Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE). To include the following:- Remove, replace, service, prepare, preserve, clean, and store ALSE equipment. - Performs scheduled periodic maintenance inspections on ALSE equipment including but not limited to helmets, survival vests, first aid kits, and pyrotechnics in accordance with directives, technical publications and approved procedures. - Checks ALSE records to ensure inspections are completed in a timely manner in accordance with all applicable manuals.- Works with individual aviators and crewmembers to ensure proper fit and use of the ALSE equipment.- Requisition of all ALSE parts, and maintain shop and bench stock for the repair of ALSE equipment.- Inspects and prepares forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751.- Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of the ALSE equipment.- Responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.

- Own the development of the applicable revenue plan (forecast) and Business Develop Pipeline input and execution against the plans- Lead the development of strategic product portfolio roadmaps and product strategies- Develop product pricing strategy- Manage the distribution strategy and objectives for the product portfolio- Manage product line definition, product configuration management, product line extension, and “cradle-to-grave” aspects of product portfolio- Manage the development of business case for investments in product capability- Manage product development priorities. Coordinate with functional managers to ensure product portfolio priorities and objectives are achieved- Coordinate and lead sales administration, customer service and support activities for product portfolio- Identify and develop key customer and partner relationships- Proactively manage internal and external customer satisfaction continuous improvement- Plan, pursue & capture long term (purchase) agreements with commercial and government customers- Interface with customers to determine product requirements, identify, and suggest products that satisfy customer requirements- Prepare proposals and/or bids based on knowledge of products- Coordinate activities with product distributors, scheduling, manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing, and shipping departments to ensure the appropriate products are shipped per customer specifications- Collaborates with a wide variety of function areas such as sales, marketing, engineering, production, quality control and manufacturing.- Track revenue achieved from new product introductions vs business cases.- Manage business case analysis process to ensure business objectives are defined and achieved with new product introductions

Inspects, maintains, packs and adjusts aircrew flight equipment such as flight helmets, oxygen masks, parachutes, flotation devices, survival kits, helmet mounted devices, aircrew night vision and other ocular systems, anti-G garments, aircrew eye and respiratory protective equipment, chemical biological protective oxygen masks and coveralls, and other types of AFE and aircrew chemical defense systems. Repairs fabric and rubber components, including protective clothing, thermal radiation barriers, flotation equipment, and various parachutes. Evaluates problems and determines feasibility of repair or replacement related to inspecting and repairing fabric, rubber equipment, and parachutes. Evaluates work orders for fabrication of authorized items. Installs and removes aircraft-installed AFE. Uses various types of test equipment such as altimeters, oxygen testers, leakage testers, radio testers, and other types of testers to conduct reliability testing on AFE and ACDE. Maintains inspection and accountability documentation on AFE issued to aircrews or prepositioned on aircraft. A craftsman can expect to fill various supervisory and management positions such as shift leader, element NCOIC (Noncommissioned Officer in Charge), flight superintendent, and various staff positions.
