Wilmington, Delaware

Led a global business that provided customers with clean air, clean fuel and clean water products, technologies, equipment and services. The business manufactured and sold various grades of sulfuric acid and provided spent acid regeneration services to refineries. It provided clean air and clean fuel solutions to oil refineries including technologies, engineering, equipment and technical services. It also provided industrial waste water treatment services.Despite the global recession, successfully led Clean Tech to strong profitability and cash generation during a period of significant downturn in demand. Also greatly expanded Clean Tech's capabilities in emerging economies and drove the successful commercialization of new offerings. Led the integration of the technology licencing businesses into DuPont Sustainable Solutions.

Singapore

Based in Singapore, led the turnaround of DuPont's safety and operations management consulting and training business in Asia Pacific. Restructured, built, led and developed a team of leaders and professionals that significanrly grew DSR's top and bottom lines in Asia Pacific, while developing major new client relationships in Australia, China and India.

Wilmington, Delaware

As part of a new channel strategy, defined DSR’s Practice leadership model by benchmarking best practices, and launched and Energy Practice targeting oil, gas, electricity and coal mining industries. Increased DSR’s relevance to Energy industry by working with large clients outside the U.S., and by publishing papers and presenting at public/private forums on DuPont’s point-of-view on safety management and culture: Won “best paper” at 2005 Indonesia Petroleum Association convention.

Led revenue and day-to-day business activities to turn around declining performance for a coaching and training service business in the U.S. and Canada. Following a period of significant change, stabilized the organization and grew revenue. Significantly increased business development productivity and cash collection. Provided executive-level leadership to close and deliver business with major new clients in the energy and mining industries.

Led the execution function that enabled global revenue to more than double over four years. Transformed the service delivery model in U.S. and Canada, significantly reducing variable cost and strongly improving utilization and chargeability of full service employees. Led development and implementation of managing processes and structures to manage a large, global consulting and project manager team. Provided executive-level leadership to close multi-year, performance-based contracts with several large aviation and public transportation clients.

Built global team of business, financial and modeling experts charged with helping Operations and Business Development to evaluate and implement large capital projects including acquisitions and divestitures. Improved the quality of information for major decisions by building a widely-respected team of Valuation & Economics leaders and professionals. In response to impending deregulation of electricity markets in Pennsylvania, launched PECO Energy’s first dedicated function and support team focused on improving the quality of major financial decisions. Built a rigorous, disciplined and practical, executive-level corporate decision process for all major programs, including $1 billion of projects in 1997. Commended by PECO Energy’s President & CEO for its effectiveness.Co-led a large-scale reengineering of PECO Energy’s corporate and business unit finance functions at request of PECO Energy’s new CFO. Advised a corporate strategy initiative to position PECO Energy for growth in less regulated markets, resulting in company-wide restructuring and selected acquisitions. Provided leadership for financial analysis that underpinned PECO Energy’s “final” rate filing under the Pennsylvania Plan for Electricity Deregulation.

Led economic and financial analysis that supported commercial and technical negotiations to capture oil and gas mega-projects in Azerbaijan and Russia. Core member of team charged with redesigning worldwide exploration strategy, resulting in significantly higher exploration success at lower cost. Developed annual operating plans, evaluated and communicated the post-implementation performance of major projects and acquisitions including acquisition of Dome Petroleum in Canada.
