My name is Steven C. Meyer and if I were to describe myself in three words it would be analytical, conscientious and driven. By combining a love of learning with a strong desire to achieve, I pride myself in being an industrious contributor to the growth and development of any team that I choose to be a part of. I am a very focused and goal-oriented person with a passion for STEM-related subjects and I am eager to learn how I can utilize my skills and expertise to benefit the workplace and society. Since January 2023 I have been employed as a quality laboratory technician with Middlesex Water Company at their CJO Plant in Edison, NJ. With Middlesex Water Company it is my responsibility to monitor water from our plant and distribution sources in order to ensure product quality for clients. Prior to this I was employed as a quality laboratory technician with Aptar - Beauty & Home where I had the opportunity to work with quality assurance professionals. I have additional laboratory experience as a contract hire in association with L'Oreal USA and SGS North America. In each of these roles I had the opportunity to apply my analytical and technical skills towards improving company performance and satisfying customer demand. For my education I am currently enrolled as a graduate student at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) where I am studying for my master of science degree in Data Science. Prior to this I was an undergraduate student at NJIT where I earned my bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering. I routinely follow water quality treatment procedures in order to document any potential problems in water quality distributed within the vicinity of Middlesex County, NJ. These procedures involve recognizing cross connection problems in residential and industrial settings as they are distributed from our on-site treatment facilities to our customers. Additionally, I maintain different water quality parameters for the various types of water treated and supplied. Among others these parameters include temperature, pH, color, turbidity, alkalinity, chlorine residuals, and mineral hardness.
