Through over a decade in the property and construction industry, I have learned that our ability to affect project quality and efficiency without significantly impacting the cost is highest at the start of the project. Unfortunately, that is also when we are least equipped to do large scale complex problem solving and analysis, due to time and budget constraints. It is a difficult problem to solve. However, I knew with the right engineers and the right technology, it wasn't impossible. In 2020, following my role as the Australian Digital Engineering Lead for Stantec, I achieved my life's dream of creating a digitally lead engineering design firm. Our mission is to transform the engineering design process to enable better, more sustainable buildings at scale. My background is in leading design teams in delivering residential & mixed-use developments, hospitals, art galleries, and high-rise commercial developments nationally and internationally. From master planning and due diligence right through to on-site commissioning, I have touched every stage of the building design process.
