Supervised operation and health & safety for school crossings in the north of the county. Worked with schools and the police in safe practice of crossing operations. I really enjoyed this position and admire all the people that give up their time to carryout the operation for safely crossing children in busy roads across the county. It is a shame that some motorists think it is funny to scare children by driving through these crossings. They stop laughing when they get a fine and points on their driving licence.

Following the demise of JFP. I worked for the receiver and had discussions with some customer's.I started my own business supplying hydraulic control valves to Johnston Road Sweepers and JCB. Achieved ISO 9002 after 2 months. I supplied these on time and also started up a side line supplying items to various fishing tackle companies and the Drennan, England Team for the world championships. Sold the business to Webtec.

Consultant Engineer for Webtec following the sale of my Company H C Hydraulic Components to Webtec. Declined a permanent position with Webtec.

Started as internal sales engineer, promoted after change of management. I was given the objective of improving relations between this company and a number of key accounts, namely JCB Excavator quality/warranty department and Johnston Road Sweepers in Dorking. After 24 month's we had turned an over due monthly order book into a request to drop ship twice a month as there was not enough room to take a full shipment on the due date at Johnson and JCB warranties had reduced from a monthly debit of £1k to under £100.
