I manage all aspects of the used car department. I manage both retail and wholesale inventories. My responsibilities include appraising all possible trade ins, buying and selling vehicles at auctions, manage the reconditioning of the dealership's inventory with both our staff and select vendors, training sales staff, and working deals and engaging with customers to sell vehicles on the sales floor.

I have had a wide range of core responsibilities under my current job title as sales manager. The first year and a half my main responsibility was pre owned inventory control for both the Nissan and Hyundai stores. I worked in both the wholesale buying and selling of automobiles at auto auctions, and the retail side managing sales people and working with customers. Since then my core responsibilities have changed to new car sales at the Nissan store. In my role as new car sales manager I work to increase both new car sales and market share in a very competitive Charlotte market. I feel very lucky to be employed at Modern Automotive. Modern is family owned and operated since 1933. There are ten stores, six great brands ( Chevrolet, Toyota, Nissan, Infiniti, Hyundai and Subaru ), and five different markets ( Winston Salem, Greensboro, Concord, Lake Norman and Boone ). Having the size of both the organization and areas which it covers fosters a competitive mindset while not sacrificing or accepting compromised business ethics. It shows in both high customer retention and low employee turnover.
