"A Tall Camera!"Steven is a 27-year-old commercial photographer born and raised in Wheaton, Illinois. He developed a passion for creative endeavors at a young age and spent much of his childhood and teenage years experimenting with different artistic mediums and forms of expression.Now focusing predominantly on "Editorial" & "Cinematic" based photography, Steven's work manifests itself as a catalyst to give products and concepts the legs to walk into a full-fledged campaign. Working with an extensive client list such as New Balance, Notre, Nike, Jordan, JNCO, Salomon, Avirex, Adidas, and, many more design houses; Steven's experience around creating a stamp in history for specific products and movements has become his specialty.Upon graduating from AU, back in 2021, Steven found himself managing the entire Digital Media identity of a fashion boutique called "Top Fashion". For the past 4 years, his efforts Monday through Friday have created an entire online identity for the store, and have played a role in the acquisition of higher-tier luxury brands like KidSuper, Flaneur, Honor The Gift, Represent, and many more. Steven's role has not been limited to just that of a photographer, and in so has demonstrated his ability to step into creative directorship, styling, location scouting, pitch decking, and graphic design.Outside of his photographical dreams, Steven takes a stance on community and wellness, aiming to break misconceptions and lack of education on fashion sustainability, through a second-hand shop called "Cold Oatmeal". Redefining character through product and giving life to a relatively storyless industry.Although initially appearing professional and intimidating Steven takes on a very goofy and approachable energy, aiming to focus on the mood and emotion going into anything rather than the concrete infrastructure and this always reigns true in his work. It is said that this technique used over thousands of years is embedded in our DNA. So through the process of curating visual imagery, I connect with my ancestors as well as legions of men and women who took the time to capsule a piece of their lives for generations after them. It is thought that the speed of emotions occurs 50,000 quicker than that of thought. On the race track, we call our intuition, creation the "brakes" that allow us to slow down and take time to feel. I think that is something we can all benefit from."
