In 2013 I successfully promoted an innovative project idea to obtain significant research funding from a collaborative organisation known as CRCMining. My proposal was to develop wireless charge electric mining machines for use in underground mining environments. In conjunction with my Electrical Engineering degree, I commenced a 7 year Industrial Traineeship with A.Goninan & Co Pty Ltd in 1988. The Traineeship provided a broad range of electrical engineering experience including train/locomotive design, manufacture and commissioning.
